Day 1. Rio de Janeiro

Take in a breathtaking view as your plane descends upon Rio de Janeiro – the ‘Marvelous City’ where rolling green hills, turquoise ocean, sandy beaches and high-rise urban development are all packed together in a unique blend of life and humanity.

Your driver will take you from the airport to the hotel, where you can get a different perspective of the city, passing through the colonial style buildings and along the world-famous beachfront. The natural beauty of Rio is almost transcendental and gives you a taste of the Amazon rainforest while still retaining everything that is so incredible about a Latin American city.

A walk along the mosaic tiles of Copacabana reveals much about the life of a ‘carioca’ (Rio local), a refreshing caipirinha as the waves lap against the shore, a fiercely competitive game of football or volleyball, and thousands of beachgoers sunning themselves on the white sands. You have truly arrived to a paradise.

Upon arrival you will be transferred to your hotel by your driver.

Day 2. Rio de Janeiro

SIB Tour to Corcovado Mountain + Christ the Redeemer Statue

After a delicious tropical breakfast in your hotel, you will head out on a shared trip to see the world-famous Christ the Redeemer statue on top of Corcovado Mountain. A specially designed train will take you from the foot of the mountain along a winding road through the magical Tijuca rainforest where you will see some of the enchanting tropical wildlife on constant display in Rio, such as toucans, monkeys and armadillos.

At the top of Corcovado, 700 meters above sea level, an iconic image known throughout the world stands proudly - the 38-meter statue of Christ the Redeemer. But that is not the only breathtaking thing about this place, when up close to the statue you will be overwhelmed by the stunning panoramic view of the city, so high up it seems as though you are truly flying with the birds around you. From the far reaches of Guanabara Bay, to the Maracanã Stadium, all along to Sugarloaf Mountain, Copacabana, Ipanema and Gávea Mountain, you can see the whole of Rio de Janeiro.

Day 3. Rio de Janeiro

Sugarloaf Tour (Group Tour with English or Spanish Guide)

After breakfast in your hotel you will join a shared tour to the mythical Sugarloaf mountain, protruding abruptly from out of the ground like an asteroid just fallen from the space. A magnificent cable car ride will take you up to Urca Mountain, a stop between ground level and Sugarloaf. From there you can enjoy a smooth cocktail or sample some of Brazil’s many signature dishes.

Once arriving at the top of Sugarloaf mountain you will see the captivating beauty of Rio from a different angle. To your left you can see Copacabana beach stretching off into the distance, and on the horizon the faint outlines of Two Brothers and Gávea mountains. Below you there is the quaint and intimate Red Beach, while to your right you can see across Guanabara Bay to Niterói and, closer in, Rio’s Botafogo and central neighborhoods, with the unmistakable silhouette of Christ the Redeemer casting its eternal gaze over the city. This trip is essential to gain a different perspective on Rio, and to truly understand its beauty.

Tropical Islands Tour (Group Tour with English or Spanish Guide)

After breakfast at the hotel you will go on a Tropical Islands trip. Enjoy a wonderful full day tour at Angra dos Reis and Ilha Grande on a boat. Your driver will pick you up at your hotel in the morning and you will go on a tour to discover amazing islands between 10 AM and 4 PM. Your driver will then bring you back to your hotel in Rio.

Trip of a lifetime. The ship is now call Horizon. Everyone from captain Xevier to hosted Gabriella were attentive, friendly and provided super service. The food, drink, facilities exceeded our expectations. Our naturalist Fernando was an absolute gem. His enthusiasm, sense of humour, knowledge of the area and interesting scientific facts about all kinds of subjects made this trip our most memorable vacation. Экскурсия по Кито с Давидом нам очень понравилась: прекрасная архитектура старого города точно стоит потраченного дня. Наш гид был безупречен: тактичен, быстро подстраивался под наши запросы ( больше или меньше информации, темп исключительно наш), достаточные знания по истории, культуре и обычаям Эквадора, интересная подача - не занудно, прекрасный водитель. Что ж... Я хотела открыть для себя Южную Америку и мой выбор пал на Эквадор. Но почитав инфу в интернете и поспрашивав соотечественников, живущих там долгие годы, мне говорили, что там очень опасно, очень криминально и лучше туда вообще не соваться! Да и делать особо нечего - ничего интересного там нет. Но мне уж очень хотелось поехать и я решила найти гида. Путем долгих поисков мне дали контакты Давида. Я сразу же написала ему. Он очень подробно отвечал на все мои многочисленные вопросы. Более того, предложил сразу несколько вариантов чем можно дополнить мою программу путешествия. За два дня он показал нам столько красивых и интересных мест - мы видели редких туканов, вокруг меня кружило сотни видов колибри, побывали на плантациях кофе и какао (где мы пробовали местный кофе и шоколад), гуляли по ночному Кито, забирались на вулканы, попробовали более 30 экзотических фруктов, купались в горячих природных вулканических источниках, изучили местную кухню, повстречали многих редких животных, были в центре мира, гладили ламу, получили сертификат за яйцо - да чего тока не было! Давид всегда приезжал вовремя, он не торопил нас при осмотре достопримечательностей (а то я знаю как бывает - 5 минут и побежали дальше), давал кучу интересной информации о каждом месте и о стране в целом, подробно отвечал на все вопросы (ну мне это важно, у меня всегда куча вопросов 😄), если по дороге я замечала что-то интересное - без проблем останавливались. Даже помогал при шоппинге (и в магазине (магазины он не навязывал, я сама выбирала магазины), и на рынках)! Если вы хотите увидеть настоящий Эквадор, узнать его получше и увидеть своими глазами, понять, что он не более опасен, чем те же города Америки или Европы, что он очень красивый и безумно интересный - я очень советую вам Давида. Единственное о чем я пожалела - мало дней мы взяли на Эквадор. Думаем, вернемся сюда ещё раз и обязательно снова обратимся к Давиду дальше изучать эту страну 😊 P.S.: Возможно, получилось как целая ода, но я очень придирчивый клиент и редко кто мне может угодить😄 P.S.S.: жалко тут ограничения по количеству фото 😄😄😄
